Following an alarming number of wrecks involving injury or deaths on Highway 121 in Fannin County over the past several months, law enforcement will increase its presence.
“In an effort to reduce the number of injuries and fatalities, the Fannin County Sheriff’s Office is teaming up with DPS, Bonham Police Department, and the Trenton Police Department to provide additional traffic enforcement to provide a safer roadway,” said the FCSO.
Last month, two people died and another injured after two pickup trucks collided at FM 1629 and Hwy 121.
In October 2024, a vehicle that was attempting to pass in a no-passing zone, cause a fatal wrecking, killing five people and critically injured another.
In the past year, the number of wrecks along the stretch of road in Fannin County has increased rapidly.
