Lareece Brackeen Maggard, 89, of Powderly, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2023, at Stillhouse Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center.
Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled services for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21st at the Pavilion of Red Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Maggard, the daughter of Noah Brackeen & Nora Frederick Brackeen, was born Aug. 16, 1934, in Powderly, TX.
She was a faithful member of Lamar Avenue Church of Christ. Her career with the Campbell Soup Company spanned many years before her retirement.
Lareece was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Leston Maggard, three sons, Gregg Maggard, Terry Maggard, and Michael Maggard, five brothers, Ward Brackeen, Mack Brackeen, El Jay Brackeen, Tom Brackeen, and Bobby Brackeen and a sister, Vivian Enloe.
Survivors include two grandsons, Paul Maggard and Will Maggard, four great grandchildren, and several nieces & nephews along with a host of friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Lamar Avenue Church of Christ, 3535 Lamar Ave., Paris, TX 75460 or to the charity of ones choice.
