It’s that time of the year again, Kiwanis Pancakes Days!
Tickets are now on sale for one of Paris’ favorite event of the year held at the Lamar County Fairgrounds from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on March 1 & 2.
Last year, the club broke a new record, serving 12,008 people which included 4,881 students and 677 take-out orders.
When the Kiwanis Club began serving pancakes, the organization served about 300 people.
All Kiwanis project funds are utilized for improving our community, and particularly supporting youth. Examples include Education Scholarships for Key Club, Imagination Library of Lamar County, Downtown Food Pantry, Texas Ramps Project, local schools Bully Prevention Programs, Lamar County Crime Stoppers, Camp Kiwanis at Pat Mayes Lake, Holiday Food Baskets, and the Senior Santa at local nursing homes.
Alongside the famous pancakes served, attendees will also get sausage, orange juice, milk and water.
The organization said that due to increased prices for ingredients, tickets have increased to $8 in advance and $10 at the door.
“Kiwanis Kidz Days” will be held on March 4, 5 & 6 this year with class sponsorships remaining $150 per class.
