Charles Anthony Black, 75, of Roxton, TX, passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at Birchwood Manor in Cooper, TX.
Cremation is under the care and direction of Bright-Holland Funeral Home. Inurnment will be made at a later date in Restland Cemetery at Cunningham. Charles, the son of Dennis Black and Louise Wilson Black, was born May 1, 1949, in Deport, TX.
He graduated from Cunningham High School and joined the United States Army where he served a number of years before his honorable discharge. His career as a self-employed carpet installer spanned many years before his retirement.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Brian Black, and a brother, Stevie Black. Survivors include his granddaughter, Ivy Morgan, five siblings, Dean Black and wife Carolyn, Nita Jaco and husband David, Robert Black, Melinda Jones, and Rickey Black along with numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
