Aikin Elementary recently delighted families with its second annual Family Night event, themed “Reading Under the Stars.” This enchanting evening was perfectly timed to coincide with the fall season, offering a unique opportunity for families to enjoy the crisp air, cozy blankets, and the magic of reading together.
The primary goal of “Reading Under the Stars” was to provide families with a chance to relax and connect. In today’s fast-paced world, finding time to unwind with loved ones can be challenging. This event offered a serene setting where families could bond over shared stories, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
Vickie England, Aikin’s dedicated Reading Coach, shares her insights into the significance of this event. She explains, “By hosting this event, our goal is to foster a love for reading while strengthening family ties. This event is a testament to the power of literature and the importance of family connection.”
