A juvenile and 19-year old were arrested on Sunday after more than 20 calls were received regarding a string of vehicle break-ins.
The Clarksville Police Department investigated the reports and viewed videos, still photographs, as well as collected evidence from affected properties.
Two of the five individuals involved were directly responsible for the crimes, including a 13-year old minor and 19-year old Tre Epperson.
Epperson was charged with Burglary of Vehicles and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and was taken into custody.
A stolen pistol was also found in his possession, which he surrendered peacefully to law enforcement.
It was discovered that two of the four vehicles targeted had been left unlocked.
“Residents are reminded to lock their vehicles to prevent such crimes,” said Clarksville Chief of Police Tommy Hunt. “We want to thank the community’s assistance in submitting numerous calls and videos was instrumental in the swift apprehension and identification of the individuals involved. And a special thank you to RRCSO dispatch, and deputies for your help.”
