James Melton “Jim” Patterson, 78, of Reno, passed away Monday, Nov. 19, 2018, at his home.
Following Jim’s wishes, Bright-Holland Funeral Home transferred him to the UT Southwestern Medical School for medical research.
Jim, the son of James Guy & Erna Melton Patterson, was born Aug. 9, 1940, in Lamar County.
He served in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War and had a career that spanned many years as a salesman in veterinary supplies.
