In Loving Memory of Jackie Ray Chennault
August 22, 1958 – November 4, 2026
Jackie Ray Chennault, 68, of Paris, Texas, passed away on November 4, 2026.
Jack was born on August 22, 1958, to Opal Ray and Carol Annette Weddle Chennault. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Debbie Miller.
He is survived by his wife, Sharron Kay Hill Chennault; his loving brother, Danny Chennault, his four children, Rachelle Chennault of Blossom, Texas; Tiffany Coward and husband Jayson of Paris, Texas; Amy Hudson and husband Chad of Paris, Texas; and Derek Chennault and wife Jessica of Paris, Texas.
Jack also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren, who brought him immeasurable joy and whom he adored: Christian Payton, Destiny Payton, Jayci Coward, Zack Coward, Jackson Coward, Jett Coward, Leddy Kate Coward, Adalyne Hudson, Brooks Chennault, Lennon Chennault, and Laken Hudson. Plus his great-grandson; River Payton. He was also eagerly awaiting the arrival of his future grandchild, Townes Chennault, whom he was so excited to meet.
Jack was a man with an adventurous spirit and a deep appreciation for the beauty of the world around him. He loved to travel, explore new places, experience new things, listen to live music, and play a round of cornhole. He believed there was always something new to see, something new to learn, and another adventure waiting just around the corner.
One of Jack’s greatest passions was his love of trees and nature. He had an extraordinary knowledge of trees, plants, and shrubs and could tell you just about anything you wanted to know about them. What began as a passion became a lifelong calling. As a certified arborist, Jack turned his knowledge and skill into a career, eventually establishing his own business, Arbornault Tree Care. His work was more than just a profession; it was a reflection of his appreciation for God’s creation and the natural beauty that surrounded him.
Jack had a way of seeing beauty in things that others might simply pass by. Where someone else saw an ordinary tree, Jack saw its history, its strength, and its uniqueness. His knowledge, stories, and love for the outdoors were gifts he shared with those around him.
Jack’s faith was one of the most important parts of his life. He was a member of Calvary Chapel of Paris, and his relationship with the Lord held a special place in his heart. His faith was a source of strength, hope, and comfort throughout his life. He found beauty in God’s creation and appreciated the many blessings life had to offer. His love for the Lord was an important part of who he was, and his family takes comfort in knowing that his earthly journey has ended, but his eternal life with his Savior has just begun.
Though his earthly adventures have come to an end, the love he shared, the lessons he taught, and the memories he created will continue to grow, much like the trees he loved so dearly.
The roots of his love run deep, and his legacy will stand tall for generations to come.
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept my faith. And now the prize awaits me– the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on the day of his return. And the prize is not just for me but for all who eagerly look forward to his appearing.”
2 Timothy 4:7-8
