An Idabel man was arrested on first-degree murder and arson charges after officers responded to a house fire early morning Thursday and discovered a body.
According to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation the of Harold Stout was discovered in the home on Northwest 9th Street and Leflore Avenue in Idabel.
On July 14, OSBI agents, along with the Idabel Police Department, interviewed the victims brother, 63-year old Mark Stout and discovered that on July 12, an altercation occurred between the two brothers, which resulted in Harold’s death.
Mark Stout was arrested and booked into the McCurtain County Jail on first-degree murder and arson.
“We want to thank the Idabel Police Department for their assistance on this case,” said the OSBI in a press release.
