The Golden Girls, 4-year-old Sierra Faulkner and 3-year-old Madilyn Hallford, are an inspiration to us all.

Not only have they both battled cancer as such a young age but together they have raised thousands of dollars for the St. Baldricks Foundation and Alex Lemonade Stand…over $12,000 to be exact.

The girl’s mothers, Kaylee Faulkner, and Taryn Hallford couldn’t be more proud of them and are overwhelmed by the support the local community has shown them.

“Words can’t express how thankful we are to everyone who helped the girls with fundraisers, the schools for joining in, the City of Paris lighting up the Eiffel Tower and everyone who donated. We are speechless,” said Kaylee.

Sierra and Madi met in 2016 while being treated at Children’s Hospital Pauline Allen Gill Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders in Dallas, however, little did they know they only lived 10 minutes from each other.

Since then the girls have formed an unbreakable bond and together are making a difference in their community.

“They know they’re helping others that are fighting battles they have fought,” said Taryn.

September was Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and Sierra and Madi hosted and participated in multiple events raising awareness and funds.

“We had the ‘End Childhood Cancer’ t-shirts, donuts at Aaron Parker, Chili’s and Applebee’s fundraisers, Aikin Elementary coin wars, Bailey Intermediate wore caps to school for $1, Xzact therapy sold shirts plus many anonymous donations.”

Many local schools also participated in various ways to raise awareness and donations.

“There are way too many people to thank, so we just want to say thank you Paris for going gold with us.”

Sierra recently celebrated 15-months cancer free and Madi’s end of treatment date is set for this month.
