A fugitive wanted for Capital Murder was arrested in Commerce on Friday night after the Commerce Police Department received information the man was hiding out in the Culver Crossing Apartments in Commerce.
After initiating an operational plan to safely bring 20-year old Lenarion Boston to justice, Commerce PD obtained necessary facts, obtained a “no-knock” search warrant for persons and coordinated a multi-agency SWAT operation to execute the search warrant.
At 8:20 p.m., Boston was obtained by Hopkins Co. SWAT and brought to CPD officers who executed the capital murder arrest warrant issued by Dallas County.
Boston was transported to Hunt County Jail without further incident.
Officials say the victim was 10 years of age or older but younger than 15 years of age, however no further information has been released.
“This operation was successful with no exchange of gunfire and no reported injuries,” said Commerce City Manger, Howdy Lisenbee. “The community is safer because of the assertive actions of each of the agencies involved.”
