Last week, former Paris Wildcat offensive lineman Elijah Ellis fulfilled a lifelong dream of playing in the NFL when he signed with the Los Angeles Chargers.
“We’re thrilled to share that 2019 Paris High School graduate Elijah Ellis has officially signed to play NFL football with the Chargers! Your Wildcat family is proud of you and cheering you on every step of the way. Once a Wildcat, always a Wildcat,” said Paris Wildcats online.
In the 2024 college football season, Ellis played for Marshall University and was the starting left tackle in all 13 games of the season.
He helped the Thundering Herd rank inside the top-20 in the nation in rushing and averaged nearly 32 points per game.
Ellis transferred to Marshall from Baylor, where he played nine games over three seasons (2021-23), twice earning recognition on the Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll while studying kinesiology.
During his time playing for Paris High School, he did not allow a sack as a senior.
Ellis will wear No. 66 for the Chargers.
