Employees at Campbell’s Soup Company in Paris are concerned about their paychecks after learning the company’s timekeeping system, Kronos, had crashed about four days ago due to a ransomware attack.
Using Kronos Private Cloud, Campbell’s Soup Company’s employees were worried they wouldn’t get paid because they are not using their traditional ways of clocking in.
One employee told News 12 Campbell’s Soup is working with them to help out with the situation. Employees have been told they will receive a check, even though it’s the same amount they received in the previous paycheck.
A spokesperson with Kronos said UKG was made aware of the ransomware attack and took action “investigate and mitigate the issue.” They said they’ve also informed authorities and are working with cybersecurity.
“We recognize the seriousness of the issue and have mobilized all available resources to support our customers and are working diligently to restore the affected services,” a Kronos spokesperson said in a statement.
