Edna Mae King, 83, of Howland, passed away Saturday, May 12, 2018, at her home.

Services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 15th at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Cook officiating. Burial will follow in McDonald Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 – 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Mrs. King, the daughter of William Robert & Nellie Jones Loggins, was born May 4, 1935, in Lamar County.

She attended Midway School in the Broadway Community. Edna worked several years at Hollywood Vasarette, Ozark Fried Chicken, and Gifford’s Army Surplus before beginning employment as a records clerk for the Lamar County Sheriff’s Department where she retired.

She was a member of Ramseur Baptist Church.

On Feb. 11, 1953, she married Marvin Henry “Bob” King in Hope, AR. They built forty-eight years of family and memories before his death on Feb. 6, 2002.

Survivors include a son, Jimmy Wayne King & wife Terrie, two daughters, Marvin Ann Patterson & husband Lynn and Cheryl Denise King, grandchildren; Lyndon Matthew Patterson & wife Beth, Aaron Kyle Patterson & wife Amanda, Jamie Danielle Naylor & husband Mychael, Kayleigh Brooke Johnson and Royce Edward Hodges, six great-grandchildren, a sister, Patsy Edwina Wilson along with many nieces & nephews and a host of friends.
