Eddie Thomas White, 83 of Reno, died at 4:28 AM on Wednesday, February 14, 2018, at his home.
Funeral services have been set for Saturday, February 17, 2018, at 10:00 A.M. at East Paris Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Sullivan and David White officiating. A private burial will take place a Knights of Honor Cemetery at a later date.
Mr. White was born on November 5, 1934, in Paris, Texas. His parents were John Thomas “Tom” and Exie McCoin White. He graduated from J.G. Wooten Elementary, Paris High School, Paris Junior College and Texas A&M University. He married Rebecca Carter on August 27, 1954. His father was a bricklayer for over 50 years, therefore he also became a journeyman bricklayer. After graduation from Texas A&M, he worked as a Mechanical Engineer in Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi, and Alabama before returning to Dallas. He and Becky moved to Blossom in 1974 and he worked at the former McCuistion Regional Medical Center. He then moved to Galveston and worked at The University of Texas Medical Branch until his retirement in 1997. He was a member of East Paris Baptist Church
Surviving are his wife; one son, David White and his wife Shirley of Magnolia, Texas.
