Dorothy Margaret Jensen, 88, of Sumner, passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at Brentwood Terrace Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Monday, Feb. 24th at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 5 – 7 p.m.
Mrs. Jensen, the daughter of George Beall and Alice Gelo Beall, was born April 11, 1936, in Iowa.
She graduated from Mt. Mercy College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa with her degree in nursing as a Registered Nurse. Her career spanned many years, with most of those years spent at L. P. McCuistion Regional Medical Center on the orthopedic floor and as house supervisor.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Carl R. Jensen, whom she married on Jan. 2, 1958, building 61 years of family and memories before his death on July 26, 2019. She was also preceded in death by a son, Dan Jensen.
Survivors include four children, Becky Brazeal and husband Jerry, Scott Jensen and wife Elizabeth, Melissa Redmond and husband John, and Jeannie Brown and husband Scott, a son-in-law, Terrence Williams, grandchildren, Jessie Hickman and husband Chase, Charlie Brazeal and wife Jacey, Ben Brazeal and wife Carlee, Robert Jensen, Alan Jensen and wife Nicky, Angela Jensen and husband Jordan Norrell, Finnian Redmond, Kendrick Redmond, Eric Garner and wife Krista, Ashley Grant and Kyle, Josh Grant and wife Megan, Spencer Jensen, and Catherine Jensen, 18 great grandchildren, and four siblings, Richard Beall and wife Theresa, Robert Beall, Karen Dykstra and husband Steve, and Ron Beall and wife Cathy along with numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Casket bearers will be: Ben Brazeal, Charlie Brazeal, Eric Garner, Josh Grant, Alan Jensen, and Robert Jensen. Spencer Jensen will serve as an honorary bearer.
The family would like to express their appreciation to Brentwood Terrace Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center and to Heart To Heart Hospice for the care and attention given their loved one.
