With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Billy Andrew Sawyer, who left this world on February 14, 2025, in Midland, Texas. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, a cherished brother, and a steadfast friend to many.
Born on September 20, 1965, Billy lived a life marked by selflessness, hard work, and deep love for his family. His presence brought warmth and laughter to every room, and his unwavering dedication to those he cared for will be forever remembered.
He had a remarkable ability to be there in times of need for family and friends, offering support, wisdom, and love. Billy took great pride in watching his daughter, Hayley Sawyer, play soccer, cheering her on with endless love and encouragement. He also enjoyed shooting guns with his friends, finding both camaraderie and joy in the sport. Traveling with his treasured wife, Lynne Hall Sawyer, was another passion of his, as they explored new places and created countless cherished memories together.
He is survived by his wife, Lynne; his daughter, Hayley; and his siblings, Harold R. Ninemires, David Sawyer, Travis Sawyer, Joanna Glenn, and Wayne Sawyer, who will forever cherish the memories they shared with him. He is preceded in death by his loving parents, Franciene Long and Cal Wayne Sawyer, whose legacy he carried forward with pride and honor.
Billy’s passing leaves a void that can never be filled, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. His memory will be cherished, his selflessness never forgotten, and his love forever felt.
A private burial will be held for family and close friends.
