Doris Faye Jackson, 76, of Deport, passed away Friday, Feb. 16, 2018, at Medical City of Plano.

Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled services for 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 20th, at the United Pentecostal Church with Rev. Robert Myre & Rev. John David Griffith officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery at Deport. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Mrs. Jackson, the daughter of Albert & Maycel Coffman Hall, was born July 6, 1941, in Red River County.
She graduated from Clarksville High School where she was Homecoming Queen of 1958. Her career as a school bus driver and secretary at Prairiland Elementary School in Deport spanned more than 27 years before her retirement. Doris was a faithful member of the United Pentecostal Church.

On April 11, 1964, she married Paul Richard Jackson, building fifty-one years of family and memories before his death on Nov. 12, 2015. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Bobby Albert Hall. Survivors include five children; Kathy Boaz & husband Mike of Milton, Geron Jackson & wife Glenna of Pattonville, Dina Broadway of Reno, Paula Shonebarger & husband Paul of Paris and Paul Alan Jackson of Deport, grandchildren; Kimberlee Higgins & husband Jeff, Brian Watson & wife Nicole, Kelli Unruh & husband Trey, Brett Shonebarger, Laney Bright & husband Matthew, Lexie Jackson, Bradley Broadway, Brandon Broadway, Kyler McCoin, Kylie Jackson,
Kolton Jackson, Kayla Raney & husband Hunter, and Erin Brewer & husband Brandon, twelve great-grandchildren, two brothers; Fred Hall & wife Dee of Texarkana and Jim Hall & wife Susan of Bogata along with numerous nieces and nephews and her prayer warrior friends.
Casket bearers will be Paul Shonebarger, Mike Boaz, Brett Shonebarger, Brian Watson, Bradley Broadway, Brandon Broadway, Matthew Bright & Trey Unruh. Honorary bearers will be Kyler McCoin, Jeff Higgins, Hunter Raney, Brandon Brewer, Kolton Jackson, Bob Bolton, Arlton Bristow, Charles Fleming & Don Nabors.
