Today is North Texas Giving Day and Texans can help local organizations across the North of the state by donating to their cause.
“Get Up and Give between now and midnight to your favorite nonprofits across North Texas!,” the North Texas Giving Day website stated.
North Texas Giving Day is an 18-hour online giving event designed to empower every person to give back to their community by supporting local nonprofits and causes they care about in one easy-to-use platform.
Last year, they raised an impressive $48 million for 2,700 local nonprofits.
“With your help, this year we plan to beat this record to change more lives, foster growth, and change, and further enrich the North Texas community,” they added.
You can search by county, cause area, and more. With so many organizations represented, there’s something for everyone to support.
By lunch time the website was showing 81,655 donations to 2,827 organizations with 8,091 donors having pledged 335,070 hours.
