A man is behind bars after robbing Nuway East Convenience Store on May 15, displaying part of a gun in his waistband while demanding cash.
Cooper resident Christopher Lee Price was arrested on May 20 on an Aggravated Robbery warrant after multiple people identified him through surveillance video.
According to the Delta County Sheriff’s Office, Price wore a face covering during the robbery and displayed part of a gun tucked in his waistband. He demanded money from the cash register be put in a money box on the counter.
The robbery was caught on camera and Price was identified by multiple people by his voice and the clothes that he wore.
“Through the investigation, deputies conducted a search warrant of Mr. Price’s home where corroborating evidence items were recovered tying Mr. Price to the robbery,” said the Delta County Sheriff’s Office.
An Aggravated Robbery warrant was issued for Mr. Price and he was arrested on Friday, May 20, 2022.
Price was booked into the Delta County Jail and is being held on a $150,000 bond for a Felony 1 charge of Aggravated Robbery pending trial.
