Construction on Celebration Paris, a new 55+ senior living complex with 64 one and two bedrooms apartments in Paris, is underway.
The Paris Housing Authority, Javelin Group, and Rea Ventures Group broke ground on the new development on Dec. 10.
The Paris Housing Authority owns the land for the apartments, and the developers will construct, own, and manage the apartments. PHA will continue to own the property and apartment complex at the end of a planned long-term partnership.
The development also includes two commercial pad sites fronting Lamar Avenue.
The apartment complex will include 64 one and two-bedroom apartments for 55+ seniors on a low fixed income.
The Paris City Council approved a resolution in January 2024 supporting the collaborative effort between the developers and PHA.
At the ground breaking was PHA Board Chairperson Jenny Wilson, Alan Naul of the Javelin Group, and Paris Mayor Mihir Pankaj.
