Cleda Don Brownfield, 78, of Paris, passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at her home.
Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled services for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 28th at Providence Baptist Church with Rev. Allan Hubbard officiating. The family will receive friends at the church thirty minutes prior to the service. Graveside services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m. Saturday, June 28th at Jumbo Cemetery in Pushmataha County, OK.
Mrs. Brownfield was born Nov. 24, 1946, in Idabel, OK. She attended beauty school in Paris and became a beautician. Later she worked at a bank and then as a teacher’s aid at Paris High School until her retirement. Cleda attended Immanuel Baptist Church and Providence Baptist Church. She enjoyed arts and crafts and was a collector of angels and crosses.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe Bailey Nelson and Delsie Jane Nelson who reared her, and her father, Archie Quails. She married Floyd Brownfield in 1966, building 57 years of family and memoires before his death on Aug. 15, 2023.
Survivors include two children, Melisa Brewster and Mark Brownfield and partner Tony Miller, a granddaughter, Brittany Caldwell and husband Ben, a grandson, Blake Brewster, great grandchildren, Connor and Ryder, a sister, Jo Ann McAllister, a sister-in-law, Geneva Taylor, a brother-in-law, Punchy Brownfield and wife Debbie, a cousin, Pappy Wortham and several nieces and nephews including Kevin Woodroof, Angie Patterson, and Bryan and Lisa Taylor along with a host of friends and her sweet beloved dog, Charlie.
