According to former FDA Commissioner Dr. Scott Gottlieb, a COVID vaccine for children aged 5-11 could be released by Halloween.
Dr. Gottlied, who is also on Pfizer’s board, said their goal is to have a vaccine by October.
“We are doing everything we can now to move these trials ahead, and they’re moving ahead well,” Dr. James Versalovic, pathologist-in-chief at Texas Children’s Hospital, who is also working alongside Dr. Gottlieb, said.
Clinical trials, according to the FDA, are underway.
