To celebrate its grand opening on Feb. 4, Chick-fil-A Paris will surprise 100 local heroes with free Chick-fil-A for a year.
Additionally, in honor of the new Chick-fil-A Paris restaurant, the store will donate $25,000 to Feeding America to aid in the fight against hunger.
Chick-fil-A Paris is locally owned and operated by Moises Hernandez, a native of Honduras. As a first-generation citizen, Hernandez immigrated to the U.S. with his family in 1999. A resident of Texas for 22 years, Hernandez grew up in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and earned a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Baylor University in Waco, Texas. After college, Hernandez became a Certified Public Accountant and built a 10-year career in tax consulting. During this time, Hernandez realized he wanted to start a business that would positively impact his community and began exploring career opportunities with Chick-fil-A.
Immediately drawn to the great-tasting food and welcoming environment, he redirected his career focus toward opening his own Chick-fil-A restaurant. Hernandez applied to the Franchisee Selection Program and was selected to become the Operator of Chick-fil-A Westgate Mall in Amarillo, Texas. After serving the Amarillo community for two years, Hernandez is excited to transition into his new role as the Operator of Chick-fil-A Paris and serve the Paris community with Chick-fil-A’s signature hospitality.
“I look forward to opening Chick-fil-A Paris and growing a team centered on caring for our community,” said Hernandez. “Alongside my family, I am thrilled to welcome our neighbors to the new restaurant.”
In addition to spending quality time with his wife, Cheyenne, and their two sons, Beau and Everett, Hernandez is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys running and hiking in his spare time.
Hernandez will be responsible for all day-to-day activities of the business, including employing approximately 100 full- and part-time Team Members, cultivating relationships with local organizations and neighboring businesses, and serving Guests.
“At Chick-fil-A, safe service is our first priority,” said the franchise in a press release. “New Chick-fil-A restaurants will take additional time to review operations and make sure appropriate precautions are in place before opening their dining rooms, to ensure the safety of Guests and Team Members.”
Currently, Chick-fil-A Paris will be open for drive-thru and mobile curbside service, with delivery available shortly after the opening. Guests can take advantage of contactless ordering and payment through the Chick-fil-A mobile app.
Chick-fil-A Paris is located at 3420 Lamar Ave., and will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
