Charles Ray Edinburgh, 77, of Pattonville, TX, passed away Monday, Sept. 1, 2025, at Paris Regional Health.
Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 4th at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with burial following in Windom Cemetery at Windom, TX. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
Charles, the son of Andy Ray Edinburgh and Maxine Wright Edinburgh, was born Sept. 20, 1947, in Comanche, TX. He graduated from U. S. Grant High School in Oklahoma City, OK. Upon his graduation he entered the United States Army. Following his honorable discharge, he began working for Joe Esco Tire which later became Southern Tire. His career in the tire industry spanned 46 years before his retirement.
Charles loved old cars, going to swap meets with his favorite uncle, Jimmy Wright, restoring old cars, and the races. His most enjoyable thing was being “Papaw” to his beloved grandkids and great grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his father, Andy Ray Edinburgh, his mother, Maxine Plummer, a great granddaughter, Shiloh Morgan Dunn, a brother, David Duane Edinburgh, and a sister, Mary Janetta Colbert.
Survivors include his wife, Phillis Whelchel Edinburgh, whom he married in 1990, children, Candi Khan and husband Fazal, Wendy White and husband Kenton, and Brittany Sims, grandchildren, Triston Wilkerson and wife Dayln, Keagan Giroux, Zoey Khan, Morgan Walkup and husband Stormy, Abigail Dunn and husband Andrew, and Aidan Sims, great grandchildren, Brycen Wilkerson, Brylynn Wilkerson, and Holly Grace Dunn, and one sister, Debbie Kay Arnhart and husband Don along with several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
