Registration is still open for classics to modern muscle cars and motorcycles in the upcoming Cops-n-Rodders Hot Rod and Bike Show this Saturday, Sept. 18.
“We will celebrate National Thank a Police Officer Day with this fun, family-friendly event,” said Lamar County Adot-A-Cop President Amanda Willows. “The past couple of years have been hard on everyone so we want to provide a fun day full of laughs for the community and our first responders. The donut eating contest and rock paper scissors contest should be soooooo much fun. We will also have Widner Strong shirts for sale with proceeds from the shirts going to the Widner family.”
Benefitting Lamar County Adopt-A-Cop, the car show will judge different classes of cars and motorcycles.
Judging includes:
- Best interior;
- Best paint job;
- Best work in progress;
- Officer’s choice;
- Kid’s choice; and
- Overall event winner.
Registration is $25 per hot rod or motorcycle.
Cops-n-Rodders Hot Rod and Bike Show will be at South Main Iron, 255 SW 1st Street, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Sept. 18. Lamar County Law Enforcement Officers will be presented with Adopt-A-Cop gifts from community members for National Thank a Police Officer Day.
To register or for more information, contact Willows at 903-905-1229 or lcadoptacop@gmail.com.
