Burton Guest, 62, of Paris went to be with his Lord, on Saturday, April 14, 2018, in Paris Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 18, 2018, in the Blossom Church of God with Rev. Benny Dollins and Rev. Larry Bridges officiating. Burial will follow in the Detroit Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. till 8:00 PM Tuesday at the Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home.
Russell Burton Guest was born on September 28, 1955, in Paris, a son of Russell and Imogene Nations Guest. He was retired from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, was a member of the Blossom Church of God, graduated from John Brown University with a BA in education and was a graduate of Detroit High School. He was an accomplished organist and singer. He played at the Blossom Church of God.
He married Windy Bernhardt on December 2, 2004, in Clarksville.
Burton is survived by his wife, Windy Guest; children, Amanda Lorenzo and Shawn Armentrout; six grandchildren, Gavin, Katelyn, Kieley, Vanessa, Ian and Eli; mother, Imogene Guest; brother, Mackey Guest; nephews, James Guest and Jim Bob Guest and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Russell Guest and brother Jimmy Guest.
