Being a mom is a full-time job right? Wrong.
According to a new study from juice company, Welch’s it is actually the equivalent of two and a half full-time jobs.
The study looked at 2000 U.S. moms with children aged 5 to 12 and found on average their day starts at 6:33 a.m. and doesn’t end till 8:31 p.m. – 7 days a week.
That’s 98 hours of work per week.
“The results of the survey highlight just how demanding the role of mom can be and the non-stop barrage of tasks it consists of,” said Casey Lewis, Welch’s Health & Nutrition Lead, according to Yahoo News. “Busy moms may identify with the list of ‘lifesavers,’ which highlights not just a rigorous workload but a constant requirement to feed and fuel the family, week in and week out.”
According to the survey, between taking care of the kids, working a full-time job and managing household chores, moms are left with one hour and seven minutes of “me” time each day.
So If you’re a mom, next time someone comments on how “tired” you look, you can say you have 98 reasons why.
