Barbara Ann Sale 73, of Paris, died at 12:29 PM, Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Paris Regional Medical Center. Funeral services are set for 11:00 AM, Monday, January 28, 2019 in the chapel of Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry McDowell officiating. Burial will follow in the Chicota Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 PM, Sunday at the funeral home. Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
Barbara was born February 13, 1945 in Modesto, California to Samuel Franklin and Clara Mae Tarwater Linkswiler. She graduated from Hugo High School and received her associate’s degree from Paris Junior College. Mrs. Sale married Robert Loyd Sale on February 12, 1963 in Hugo. He died June 26, 2009. She was a teacher’s assistant for PISD for over 30 years at the T.G. Givens campus and was a member of Word of Life Church of God.
Survivors include three children, Dana Sale of Paris, Stephen Sale of Mount Pleasant, and Sandra Offutt and husband, Jodie of Paris; five grandchildren, Tina Offutt, Shannon Haskell and husband, Corey, all of Paris, Valerie Edmonson and husband, Randy of Powderly, Bennie Wright and wife, Brandi of San Antonio, and Clint Burnsed and wife, Taffie of Blossom; seven great-grandchildren, Addison, Cinna, Olivia, Tate, Tinsley, Elizabeth, and Savanah; and her cousin whom she considered a sister, Irma Woodruff of Paris. She was preceded in death by a son, Rick Sale; her parents; and her two brothers, Van and Roy Linkswiler.
Pallbearers will be Corey Haskell, Richard Lenoir, Brien White, Casey Spears, Jake Haskell, and Josh Haskell.
