Audrey Geneva “Jo” Gordon, 89, of Taylortown, passed away Saturday, September 29, 2018.
Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled services for 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2nd at the Pavilion of Union Cemetery with Rev. Lynn Phillips, Lawrence Malone and Rev. John Wallace officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 – 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Jo, the daughter of Alvin & Delphia Jopes Malone, was born Dec. 12, 1928, in Cunningham.
She graduated from Cunningham High School. Her career with Montgomery Ward in Ft. Worth spanned 35 years before her retirement in 1997.
She married Jack Gordon, and he preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her son, Gary Bridges, a granddaughter, Kelly Bridges, brothers; Charles “Shorty” Malone & his wife Jane, Clarence “Bunkin” Malone & his wife Ora Lee, L. D. Malone, and William Malone & his wife Kathleen, a sister; Ruby Malone Ailes & husband J. L., sisters-in-law; Maurice Potts Malone and Doris Malone, and a brother-in-law, Virgil Sugg.
Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Linda Bridges of Paris, grandchildren; Geri Kay Bridges & Jack Kindle of Reno and Brandon Bridges & wife Claudia of Taylortown, brothers; Claudell Malone of Whitesboro, Frank Malone of Taylortown and Carol Malone & wife Betty of Slabtown, sisters; Katherine Sugg of Taylortown, Shirley Crews & husband J. D. of Paris and Sue Davis & husband Charles of Omaha, great grandchildren; Kayley Buster, Briley Kindle, Cohen Bridges, and Breelyn Bridges, great great grandchildren; Kiley Farmer and Cash Smith, sisters-in-law, Katie Malone of Vasco and Betty Weiden of Grand Prairie, a brother-in-law; Jack Birkhutler of Lubbock along with many nieces & nephews and a host of friends.
