This Friday, May 22, local dog and cat owners will be able to get their dogs and cats neutered, spayed and vaccinated at a low-cost when the Animal Protection League (APL) stops by Atwood’s.
Baby Gunn’s Adoption Coordinator Sheri Ashford implores the Animal Protection League’s tenacity in bringing affordable care to pets in the surrounding area.
“Having them visit our area is a great asset to local pet owners,” Ashford said. “Plus, it’s available to all counties without a limit.”
Services from APL will be available from 10 a.m. through till 2 p.m.
APL has seven licensed veterinarians on staff. Our mobile units are modern stainless steel surgery suites. Surgery fees include a pain injection, an antibiotic injection, and all dogs go home wearing an e-collar. Remember, dogs should come on leashes, and cats must come in carriers.
Costs for services include:
Low costs spay/neuter; $45 for female cats, $35 for male cats. $70 for female dogs, $65 for male dogs. These services must be booked by appointment.
Vaccinations; Rabies shot for $10. Annual dog package, which includes rabies, distemper/parvo, and bordetella for $35. The annual cat package includes rabies, feline distemper, and leukemia for $35. Heartworm and flea medications are also available.
If you miss the May 22 stop, APL will return to Atwoods on June 6 and 12.
