The Texas Department of Public Safety’s (DPS) new licensing platform, RSD Connect is now live. The new online licensing platform modernizes how DPS’ Regulatory Services Division (RSD) licenses, oversees compliance and enforces regulations.
Through RSD Connect, LTC customers can apply for, renew or check the status of their handgun license online, and instructors can create and manage handgun licensing courses.
Additionally, customers can apply for or renew the Capitol Access Pass (CAP), which provides approved applicants with expedited access to the Texas State Capitol through the main public entrances.
RSD Connect will provide better centralized reporting across RSD programs, increase visibility into the application statuses for applicants and streamline the process to shorten approval times.
RSD Connect officially launched today.
