What’s the perfect way to celebrate National Ice Cream Month? With cake and ice cream in every scoop! To make this year’s celebration extra sweet, Blue Bell is introducing Chocolate Lava Cake Ice Cream. The new flavor arrives in stores beginning today.
Chocolate Lava Cake is a smooth, classic vanilla flavored ice cream combined with rich chocolate cake pieces, chocolate sundae sauce and a dark chocolate fudge swirl.
“We’re excited to celebrate National Ice Cream Month with the introduction of our new Chocolate Lava Cake Ice Cream,” said John Neal Robinson, Blue Bell general sales manager. “Chocolate is the star of any great lava cake, so it was important for us to create a rich, indulgent chocolate flavor in every bite. Our Chocolate Lava Cake Ice Cream is a vanilla ice cream loaded with delicious chocolate cake pieces, a sweet sundae sauce, and a rich dark chocolate fudge swirl, creating a dessert experience unlike any other.”
In 1984, President Ronald Reagan proclaimed July as National Ice Cream Month, with National Ice Cream Day celebrated on the third Sunday of the month. This year, that sweet celebration falls on July 19.
Chocolate Lava Cake is available in the half gallon and pint sizes, but only for a limited time.
Also new and now available from Blue Bell is Black Raspberry Fudge, a decadent combination of black raspberry flavored ice cream with dark chocolate flavored chunks and a chocolate fudge swirl. Available in pint and half gallon sizes while supplies last
For those looking to reach their protein goals, Blue Bell offers a new high-protein dairy dessert with up to 12 grams of protein per serving, and it’s available in Chocolate, Coffee, Salted Caramel, Strawberry and Vanilla.
