Netflix will introduce ads quicker than originally expected, with its ad-supported tier making its way to the streaming service come November.
Costing at $7 per month, the plan will be made available in the U.S., U.K., Australia and about a dozen other countries. According to Netflix, ads will run between 15-30 seconds at about four-five minutes each hour.
Alongside the inserted ads, video quality will top out at 720p, and some programming will not be available. For those who sign up with Basic with Ads plan, about 5-10 percent of Netflix’s library will be unavailable.
