In a powerful win for grassroots conservatives, the Lamar County Federated Republican Women have officially been voted in as a charter member of the national Federation of Republican Women (NFRW) and the Texas Federation of Republican Women (TFRW) – cementing their place in two of the most influential Republican women’s networks in the country and state.
Founded in 1938, the NFRW is the largest grassroots Republican women’s organization in the country with tens of thousands of active members in local clubs nationwide.
Building leaders, energizing communities, and keeping America strong, NFRW empowers women from all backgrounds in the political process and provides a forum for women to serve as leaders in the political, government, and civic arenas.
TFRW is a force of conservative leadership – multi-generational, multicultural, and mission-driven – equipping women to organize, lead, and win.
It provides the structure for activists to grow, the platform to shape policy, and the power to help elect the leaders who will defend Texas values.
“This isn’t just a milestone – it’s a statement. Last summer, this was a vision shared by 5 women. By December 2nd, 2025, we had 14 women in a room, ready to lead. Today, we are chartered, we are growing, and we are making an impact Lamar County can be proud of,” said Le Andra Maughon, President.
The club now proudly consists of 24 primary members – women who are the backbone of the organization – along with 1 female associate member who is a primary member of another TFRW club and 7 associate members who are men and stand alongside the mission here in Lamar County.
“Together, they represent a growing, energized coalition committed to conservative leadership and community impact. Led by women who show up and stand strong, this is where conviction turns into action. These women do not wait – they lead, fight, and win with grit, backbone, and unapologetic purpose – standing firm for God, family, and country, and protecting the values that matter most.”
