On Apr. 9, Officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of Clarksville St in regards to a theft. The suspect had stolen product from the store and had been confronted by store employees. The stolen property had been recovered but the store wanted the suspect to be warned away. Officers made contact with the suspect, Marva Renea Colbert (63) of Paris. Colbert initially gave officers a fictitious name but was later identified by her real name. Colbert was found to have outstanding traffic warrants as well as a Felony warrant for Theft under $2500.00 with 2 or more prior convictions. Colbert was arrested on the warrants and also charged with Fail to Identify as a Fugitive From Justice. She was booked and placed in jail.
On Apr. 9, Officers responded to the Lamar County Probation office in the 4300 block of Bonham St and arrested May West Wilson ((58) on an open warrant for Parole Violation Possession of a Controlled Substance. Wilson was booked and taken to county jail.
Officers made 29 traffic stops, 5 adult arrest, and answered 101 calls for service during this reporting period.
