It is with heavy hearts and profound love that we announce the passing of our beloved David Salvador Martinez, who passed away on October 11, 2026, at the age of 74.
Born on August 18, 1952, David spent much of his life in Rosamond, California, before making his home in Paris, Texas.
David was an extraordinary man who meant so much to so many. He was more than a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was a hardworking man, a source of strength and wisdom, and someone whose unconditional love touched the hearts of everyone fortunate enough to know him.
David is survived by his loving wife, Leticia Martinez his children, Steve, Irene, David Jr., and Isabel and his grandchildren, who will forever carry his love and memory in their hearts.
As a dad, he was a protector, a teacher and someone whose love never wavered. As a grandpa he brought joy, laughter, and memories that will be treasured forever. He had a special way of making the people he loved feel safe, valued, and cared for often without needing to say much at all.
He was the kind of man who showed up when it mattered and whose presence made life a little better. He believed in working hard, doing what needed to be done, and taking care of those around him. His hands may have been tired from a lifetime of hard work but his heart was always full of love.
And, of course, he was a devoted dog dad. His love for his four-legged frenchies was another reflection of the kindness and loyalty that made him who he was. To him, they were family, and to them, he was their whole world.
Pa leaves behind stories that will be told again and again, lessons that will continue to guide us, and a love that death can never take away.
His absence leaves an unimaginable emptiness, but his life leaves behind a beautiful legacy. We will miss his voice, his smile, his advice, and all the little things that made him so unique. We will find him in the memories we share, the lessons he taught us, the love he gave us, and the everyday moments that remind us of him.
We are forever grateful for the time we had with him. Being loved by him was a gift, and having him as our dad, grandpa, friend, and dog dad was a blessing we will carry with us always.
Rest easy, Pa. Your work here is done, and you did good. We love more than you could ever know and you will be missed more than words can say. Your love will live on in all of us, today, tomorrow, and for the rest of our lives.
