North Lamar High School students are being recognized for their outstanding achievements in HOSA – Future Health Professionals, earning honors at both the individual and chapter levels.
Adisyn Hedrick placed 2nd at the Area Competition and 9th in the state of Texas in the highly competitive Prepared Speaking event. Her speech, “Champions of Change – 50 Years of HOSA,” highlighted the lasting impact of HOSA and the responsibility of future healthcare professionals to lead with both skill and compassion.
During her presentation, Hedrick shared a powerful message that resonated with judges and audiences alike: “Health care is not just about treating disease. It is about restoring dignity.” Her words captured the heart of her speech and the purpose behind HOSA’s mission.
In addition to Hedrick’s individual success, North Lamar students Sofia Paissan and Alexis Daniels earned State recognition in the HOSA Happenings event, where they showcased the accomplishments and impact of the North Lamar HOSA chapter over the past year.
The North Lamar HOSA chapter was also awarded Silver Recognition for its commitment to community service through hosting blood drives, demonstrating students’ dedication to making a meaningful difference beyond the classroom.
