Violet Francis Matlock Johnson, 69, of Paris, passed away Friday, July 31, 2026, at Avir At Paris.
Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled graveside services for 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4th at Providence Cemetery with Rev. Tiny Freelen officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 5-6 p.m.
Violet, the daughter of James Richard Matlock & Rovena Akin Matlock, was born September 7, 1956, in Lamar County, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents and eight siblings, Estelle Cravens, Patsy Plant, Joyce Smith, Earnest Matlock, J. R. Matlock, J. W. “Dub” Matlock, Donna Matlock, and Earnest Wilson.
Survivors include her children, Doyle Milner, David Shannon, Cheyenne Matlock, Violet Gillean, Barbara Owens, and Bonnie McFatridge, grandchildren, Zadyn Matlock, Zy’lan Matlock, Cameron Milner, Zoie Milner, McKaylee Milner, Cody Owens, Violet Ramos, Hailey Gillean, Ava Hawthorne, Jordan Shannon, Ashley Smith, Tiffany McFatridge, and Angel Martinez, and a sister, Vickey Hall and husband Jeff along with a plethora of nieces, nephews and friends.
