On Feb. 25, an officer was walking through a business in the 3100 block of NE Loop 286 when he observed a subject who was known to him as Mikel Tre Vion Hill (21). The officer checked for warrants on Hill and was notified that he had two outstanding warrants from an October 2025 incident in which he had deliberately thrown a large rock through a business window in the 2500 block of N. Main. The rock had destroyed the glass window and had struck an employee. Hill was arrested on the charge of Criminal Mischief over $750.00 and under $2500.00 as well as Assault Causing Bodily Injury. He was booked and taken to county jail.
On Feb. 25, an officer made contact with Michael Thomas Short (48) after observing him walking in the 1200 block of E. Booth. The officer was aware of Short having an outstanding Felony warrant. Short was checked and the warrant for Assault of a Family Member with Previous Convictions was confirmed. He was arrested on the warrant. The initial incident had occurred in December of 2024 when Short had assaulted a female roommate with his fist. He was booked without incident.
Officers made 21 traffic stops, 2 adult arrest, and answered 99 calls for service during this reporting period.
