On Feb. 25, at 03:38AM Officers conducted a security check in the 2000 block of Spur 139 in Paris. The initial officer located a vehicle attempting to leave the area and made contact with the two occupants. Both subjects claimed to have been “Dumpster Diving” The driver of the vehicle gave verbal consent for the officers to search the vehicle. During a security pat down of the subjects clothing, officers located methamphetamine in the pocket of the passenger, Daniel Adams Bowers (50) of Hugo Oklahoma. A pipe used for the inhalation of methamphetamine was located in the vehicle. Bowers admitted possession of the narcotics and was arrested and charged with Manufacture or Possession of a Controlled Substance over 4 grams, a First Degree Felony. He was booked and taken to county jail. The driver was released from the scene.
On Feb. 25, an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 10 block of W. Provine after observing an equipment violation on a vehicle. Upon stopping the vehicle he made contact with the driver, Tanya Montana Young (33) of Paris, and two passengers, Jamicheal Ray Coleman (32) of Blossom, and Andy Demond Dennis (38) of Paris. Officers obtained permission to search the vehicle and found an open bottle containing an alcoholic beverage as well as a small digital scale, of the type used to package narcotics, in the front floorboard. They also located numerous bags of cocaine within easy reach of the front seat occupants, Young and Coleman. All subjects were placed under officer control at that time. All subjects denied knowledge of the narcotics. Young and Coleman were both arrested and charged with Manufacture and Delivery of a Controlled Substance over 1 gram. Coleman had outstanding misdemeanor warrants and was booked on them as well. Dennis was arrested on an active warrant for Motion to Revoke probation. All were booked and jailed without further incident.
Officers made 45 traffic stops, 6 adult arrest, and answered 76 calls for service during this reporting period.
