Debbie Kay Glosson, age 73, of Powderly, Texas, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on February 14, 2026.
She was born on July 24th, 1952, in Chicota, Texas, to William Richard and Margaret Fay Carpenter.
Debbie grew up in Chicota and attended K- 12 in Chicota Schools. She proudly built a career as a Bank Teller. Where she was known for dedication and kindness to customers.
Debbie loved crafting, cooking, junking, reading, working in the yard, having game days with her close friends but above all spending time with her grand and great-grandchildren. She will be remembered for her faithfulness, hardworking, abundance amount of strength and being the family’s biggest cheerleader.
She is survived by: Cindy Garrett, Brian Mills; his wife Michelle Hooker, Josh Glosson; his wife Marisa Glosson, Ashley Stone and Josh Nelson with their extended families. Her grandchildren Haley Williams; her husband Logan Biddle, Brady Mills, Brody Glosson, great-grandchildren; Aubriee and Kayslee Morriss, Wyatt Mills. Sister; Emma Louise Wilhite along with numerous nieces and nephews and a very large extended loving family.
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents William Richard and Margaret Fay Carpenter, 7 of her siblings and her life partner Jim Nelson.
A celebration of life will be held at the Chicota Baptist Church at a later date which will be announced. Inurnment will be made in Chicota Cemetery. Cremation was under the care and direction of Bright-Holland Funeral Home.
