The City of Paris is participating in the National Community Survey to gather resident input for planning initiatives and align goals around the community’s top priorities. The survey is to get input on government and other services and measure the quality of life in the community. The online survey is available at www.ParisTexas.gov/survey through March 20.
The NCS was developed by the National Research Center at Polco and captures opinions on the economy, mobility, community design, utilities, safety, natural environment, inclusivity, engagement, and other elements of overall livability in Paris. The results will show Paris’s strengths, areas with opportunities for improvement, and what matters most to residents. Paris officials will also be able to see how its performance compares to other communities across the country.
“This survey will aid the city council and staff’s decision-making process in determining how best to use the available resources,” City Manager Rose Beverly said. “The data will be used in conjunction with the 2025-2030 Strategic Plan to guide the work of the city.”
To participate, residents should go to www.ParisTexas.gov/Survey. Once they have answered the questions, residents can provide their email address if they would like to participate in future follow-up questions or engagement opportunities. Participants’ responses will always remain anonymous, and personal information will be securely stored by Polco. Participants’ individual data and votes are never shared with participating cities.
Those without internet access can receive assistance or pick up a printed copy at the Paris Public Library, 326 S. Main St. A printed version or additional assistance can be requested by calling 903-246-9107.
“We strongly encourage all residents to take the survey. The more people who participate, the better data we will have to improve planning,” Mayor Mihir Pankaj said. “This is a chance for everyone in the community to share insight and help shape the future of Paris.”
