On Dec. 22, Officers responded to the 1200 block of NE 20th Street regarding an assault. Officers were told by the two adults involved of an ongoing verbal argument that had started the previous night. Statements were taken from each person, with one accusing the other of pushing them while standing on a staircase and holding their young child. Reports of Assault Causing Bodily Injury and Abandoning or Endangering a Child were entered for further investigation.
On Dec. 22, Officers conducting a traffic stop in the 200 block of NE 17th Street were notified by dispatchers that the driver, identified during the stop as Cheyenne Grace Yackeschi (27), had Paris Municipal Court Warrants for Disorderly Conduct / Language and Failure to Identify. Yackeschi was arrested and booked into the Paris City Jail without incident.
On Dec. 22, an officer made a traffic stop for a city ordinance violation: loud music, in the 2500 block of N. Main Street. The driver, identified during the stop as Santiago Perez Ramirez (24), was found by dispatch to have warrants for his arrest issued by two different agencies outside of Lamar County. Ramirez was transported to the Paris City Jail for booking and later transferred to the Lamar County Jail.
On Dec. 23, Officers were dispatched to a Family Disturbance call in the 100 block of NE 25th Street. After speaking with the people involved, officers arrested Ronnie Gene Stafford (49) for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. The victim told officers she had been hit by Stafford with a baseball bat, and officers were able to see marks on the victim consistent with the accusation. Stafford was arrested and transported to the Paris City Jail without incident.
Officers made 39 traffic stops, 3 adult arrests, and answered 100 calls for service during this reporting period.
