Melba Edmonson Philley, 90, of Paris, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2025.
Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 29th at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Rev. Chad Fleming officiating. Burial will be made in Mt. Tabor Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
Mrs. Philley, the daughter of Russell A. Williams and Ruby Pearl Page Williams, was born April 12, 1935, in Lamar County, TX.
Her career with Harold Hodges Insurance spanned many years. She then worked at Liberty National Bank along with other banks in Paris. Later she worked as secretary at Houses Good Housekeeping. Melba was a member of First Baptist Church – Paris. Her greatest joy in life was being with her children, grandchildren, and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Noel Philley, a son, Jim Edmonson, and two brothers, Page Williams and Wayne Williams.
Survivors include children, Belinda Little and husband Darnell, Candy Philley, Cindy Brown and John, and Callie Brown and husband Kevin, a daughter-in-law, Beth Garvey and husband Nick, grandchildren, Brittany Echols and husband Clint, Aaron Little and wife Amanda, Blake Little and wife Christie, Catherine Edmonson, Caitlyn and husband David, Carson, Lucinda, April, Andy, and Austin, great grandchildren, Caleb Echols, Anna Echols, Olivia Echols, Addylynn Little, Adam Little, and Canyon Little along with several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Casket bearers will be: Aaron Little, Blake Little, Clint Echols, Canyon Little, Caleb Echols, and Adam Little.
