Two Paris High School cheerleaders will represent Wildcat Nation on one of the biggest stages in the country this Thanksgiving. Freshman Kamiel Jones and Annistyn McCann have been selected to perform in the iconic Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City.
The pair earned this incredible opportunity after being chosen through the Express Cheer camp this past summer. They will join performers from across the country to bring spirit and energy to the world-famous parade that draws millions of viewers each year.
Saying that I’m thrilled to be invited to New York City for the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is an understatement,” said Kamiel Jones. “I am most excited about getting to be on national TV cheering in front of the whole world. This is pretty cool! I never would’ve imagined I would be going to a place like New York, better yet doing one of the things I love most.”
“We watch the Macy’s Day Parade every year on Thanksgiving. It’s a tradition,” said Annistyn McCann. “I’m most excited about actually being a part of it — being right in the middle of the fun instead of just watching it on TV.”
The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade begins at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 27, 2025, airing live on NBC and streaming on Peacock. Once performance times for Kamiel and Annistyn are announced, Paris ISD will share updates on its social media channels so the community can cheer them on from home.
This is a proud moment for Paris High School and the entire community — a chance to celebrate local talent shining on a national stage!
