A multi-agency response led to the arrest of a 28-year-old Preston Lawson, who fled into the woods during a domestic violence call near Dodd City on Sunday, Sept. 7, according to the Fannin County Sheriff’s Office.
According to reports, when Fannin County Deputies arrived at the residence of Lawson, 2800 block of State Highway 56 near Dodd City, he fled into the woods.
Officers from Bonham PD, Delta County Sheriff’s Office K9, Department of Public Safety, ground and air units, and Honey Grove Police Department responded to assist.
Lawson was located and arrested without incident and is currently being held on Felony Assault charges from Collin County and Assault Family Violence and Evading Arrest charges in Fannin County.
