The Fannin County Office of Emergency Management is asking for the public’s help to identify the owner of what appears to be a weather balloon recovered in Fannin County on Aug. 11.
“We have contacted the US National Weather Service with no luck on who this belongs to,” said Fannin County OEM. “There is electronic hardware on the inside but no information on who it belongs to.”
The balloon was found on a private property in the Ivanhoe area of Northern Fannin County.
“We’re asking for the public’s assistance in identifying maybe who or maybe where this may have come from.”
