The 63rd Annual Paris Rodeo is set for this weekend, Aug. 12 and 13 at 550 Clement Rd., with general admission at $10 per adult.
Grand entry will start at 8 p.m. on Friday in Paris’ Rodeo & Horse Club’s arena at the Lamar County Fairgrounds.
The motocross act will also make its return to the rodeo arena this year.
Cowboy Kenny’s Steel Rodeo features James Andrews Rodeo Co., based out of Blossom, as the stock producer an Rudy Burns from Louisiana as the clown and barrel man.
The runners up for this year’s rodeo queen are candidates 14-year-old Chesney Robinson, of Ector, and 15-year-old Kaitlyn Hutchison, of Powderly. Those contesting for the rodeo princess are 12-year-old Ronica Norwood, of Bogata, and 13-year-old Jentri Hill, of Sulphur Springs.
The rodeo arena’s gates will open tonight at 7 p.m. for the slack show.
Adult tickets are $10, $5 for children 6-12 year old and children under 5 get in free. Tickers are available at Big Country Farm Center, 1800 17th St NE., Crazy House Western Wear, 6655 Lamar Rd, and at the gate each day of the rodeo.
