Enjoy some of the best BBQ around and show your support for someone who paid the ultimate sacrifice, Texas State Trooper Jeffrey Nichols at the ‘2nd Annual Trooper Jeffrey Don Nichols BBQ Cook-Off’.
Texas State Trooper Nichols lost his life in the line of duty on March 26th, 2016.
After the tragic accident, the Jeffrey Don Nichols Scholarship Fund was founded. All proceeds from the event will go towards this great cause.
The event will be held at the Love Civic Center Pavilion on Saturday, October 20th with lunch being served to the public from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Adults $10. Kids under 10-years-old $5.
There will be six classes in the event:
- Brisket Cook-Off Teams
- Rib Cook-Off Teams
- Chicken Cook-Off Teams
- Pork Cook-Off Teams
- Bean Cook-Off Teams (anything goes)
- Cooks Specialty (Dessert category)
